Coronavirus State Bulletins and Alerts

NAIC Creates Database of State Bulletins and Alerts Regarding Coronavirus

State regulators are taking quick action to address the impacts of Coronavirus. To help the public and industry keep track of the rapid changes, the NAIC created a database of state bulletins and alerts. State actions can easily be sorted by state, type of action and/or line of insurance. Downloadable spreadsheets list actions by state for Life and Health, Property and Casualty, and Emergency Declarations/Shelter in Place Orders. The NAIC will update the database on a rolling basis as state regulators declare new actions. The database will assist consumers, legislators and business professionals in understanding the actions taken across the country to protect consumers and ensure market solvency in the wake of the Coronavirus epidemic.

About the NAIC

As part of our state-based system of insurance regulation in the United States, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) provides expertise, data, and analysis for insurance commissioners to effectively regulate the industry and protect consumers. The U.S. standard-setting organization is governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. Through the NAIC, state insurance regulators establish standards and best practices, conduct peer reviews, and coordinate regulatory oversight. NAIC staff supports these efforts and represents the collective views of state regulators domestically and internationally. For more information, visit
