Dear Colleagues,
While the COVID-19 pandemic has many of us working from home, we know you’re busier than ever. This month we are highlighting a few resources to help you respond to upcoming severe weather, but also continuing issues surrounding COVID-19. And be sure to check out the video of Director Farmer’s satellite media tour, as well as Mark Bernheimer’s tips for successful video conferencing.

NAIC President Satellite
Media Tour (SMT)
Speaking of interviews, NAIC President Ray Farmer participated in more than two dozen television interviews on May 6 including an interview with WTKR, the CBS affiliate in Norfolk, Va. During the SMT, Farmer talked about the upcoming hurricane season, which begins June 1st. Forecasters have predicted it will be an above average season for the Atlantic coast.
In all, Director Farmer did a great job, completing 28 TV interviews informing consumers about the importance of preparing for what's expected to be an active hurricane season.
Upcoming Twitter Chat
On June 24th, the NAIC will host a Twitter Chat to talk about the upcoming hurricane season and how consumers can better prepare.
After our last PIO monthly call, you were asked to fill out a one-question survey on preferred times for the Twitter chat. Fifty percent of you voted for 2pm.
More details will be made available soon and we hope you will join and participate!
