Jeff Johnston serves as Interim Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). With more than 25 years of leadership at the NAIC, Johnston previously served as Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer and CFO, guiding major initiatives in solvency regulation, financial policy, and regulatory modernization.

Before joining the NAIC, Johnston was a financial regulator with the Kansas Insurance Department and a senior financial analyst with a global reinsurance group.  He has dedicated his career to strengthening the state-based insurance regulatory system and advancing collaboration among state, federal, and international regulators to promote safe, competitive, and resilient insurance markets.
