Topic: *Important Note: This Call Reminder includes notification that a vote is anticipated during this call to determine if Model 672 or 672 Plus will serve as the basis for revising the Model.* THIS CALL REMINDER IS BEING SENT ON BEHALF OF INDIANA INSURANCE COMMISSIONER AMY BEARD, CHAIR OF THE PRIVACY PROTECTIONS (H) WORKING GROUP, TO WORKING GROUP MEMBERS, INTERESTED REGULATORS, AND INTERESTED PARTIES. This call reminder is for the Privacy Protections (H) Working Group’s open call on Wed., July 10, 2024 (10:00 - 11:00 am Central / 11:00 am – 12:00 pm Eastern). The purpose of this 60-minute call is for the Working Group to follow up on its roll-call vote decision during the last open call on June 12, 2024, to revise an existing privacy model rather than continue work on a new privacy model. During this meeting, the Working Group will 1) consider its June 12 minutes for adoption; 2) hear an updated on federal privacy legislation from Shana Oppenheim, Assistant Director, Financial Policy and Legislation at the NAIC; and 3) consider the approach to revising Model 672 including whether to draft amendments to existing Model 672 (MO672) or start work using the 672 Plus draft. It is anticipated that there will be a vote on this call to determine if Model 672 or 672 Plus will serve as the basis for revising the Model. NAIC has put together the attached Drafting Outlines to propose how revisions to Model 672 can be grouped in order for the Working Group to more efficiently receive, review and incorporate comments into the revisions. The agenda and materials are posted to the public website.
