Fed. Board of Governors Member Philip N. Jefferson to Keynote at 2023 NAIC International Forum
Today, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) announced that Philip N. Jefferson, member of the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors, will deliver the opening keynote address at the NAIC’s 2023 International Insurance Forum, the organization’s flagship international event, on May 18. Dr. Jefferson took office as a Board of Governors member on May 23, 2022, to fill an unexpired term ending January 31, 2036.
Most recently, Dr. Jefferson was vice president for academic affairs, the dean of faculty, and the Paul B. Freeland Professor of Economics at Davidson College. Before then, Dr. Jefferson served as chair of the Department of Economics at Swarthmore College, where he was the Centennial Professor of Economics. Prior to this position, Dr. Jefferson was an economist at the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors.
