NAIC Fall National Meeting to Highlight Year of Impact
State Insurance Regulators Convene to Focus on Consumer Protections, Risk Mitigation, Emerging Tech
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) will host its 2025 Fall National Meeting on Dec. 8–11 in Hollywood, Florida. The hybrid event will convene chief insurance regulators; industry stakeholders; state, federal, and international officials; interested parties; and consumer representatives to collaborate on current and emerging issues, share progress on initiatives, and exchange perspectives that will help guide the year ahead.
On Tuesday, Dec. 9, NAIC President and North Dakota Insurance Commissioner Jon Godfread will deliver the event’s keynote address, where he will share updates on the NAIC 2025 priorities and progress made as part of the “Securing Tomorrow: Advancing State-Based Regulation” roadmap announced in February.
“As a leader in advancing resiliency initiatives, and with its strong response to catastrophic disasters, the state of Florida sits at the forefront of the insurance industry’s most pressing issues, making it a fitting venue for regulators to convene,” said Commissioner Godfread. “‘Securing Tomorrow’ reflects our commitment to protecting the future of state-based insurance regulation, and 2025 has been a transformative year across key issue areas, such as consumer protection, risk mitigation, and financial stability. We look forward to presenting our work, further strengthening collaboration, and accelerating the progress already underway.”
Key topics will include:
- Enhancing consumer privacy protections
- Emphasizing climate resiliency and mitigation efforts
- Advancing Risk-Based Capital (RBC) modernization
- Developing an Artificial Intelligence Systems Evaluation Tool
- 17th Annual NAIC State Government Orientation and Dialogue
“The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation is honored to welcome state insurance regulators and industry professionals for the NAIC 2025 Fall National Meeting," said Florida Insurance Commissioner Michael Yaworsky. “As consumers face new challenges, and the insurance industry continues to evolve, state insurance regulators' responsiveness, adaptability, and leadership have showcased the strength and resilience of our state-based system.”
