Jeff Manson is a senior underwriting executive with over 18 years’ experience in the reinsurance industry. He was instrumental in growing RenaissanceRe’s US and global primary catastrophe reinsurance portfolios and is responsible for RenaissanceRe’s external engagement partnership activities for the group. Jeff has led the company’s collaborative efforts across several public and private sector initiatives to help promote and enhance resiliency in vulnerable communities around the world and lessen the impacts of natural catastrophe events.
Jeff serves on a variety of local and international boards: Chair of the Climate and Sustainability Committee, Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers, Co-chair of the Risk Modelling Steering Group, Insurance Development Forum, Chair of the Managing Committee, ClimateWise, member of the Advisory Board, Bermuda Institute for Ocean Sciences, and member of the Sustainable Markets Initiative, Insurance Task Force, Executive Action Committee.
Prior to his career in reinsurance, Jeff was Partner and Managing Director of an environmental consulting firm focused on resource use and climate change issues. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Biology from the University of Guelph in Canada.
