Non-Resident Licensing Checklist for Business Entities
Other Requirements
- Application Fee is $30, plus $45 License Fee ( Make check payable to the Department of Consumer and Business Services or DCBS)
- Oregon does not require a designated/responsible licensed producer to be an officer, director, or partner of a business entity.
- Business entities are required to have a licensed and affiliated agent. Submit Form #2139, Firm or Corporation Affiliation of Agent, Adjuster or Insurance Consultant

- Surplus lines applicants must hold a property and casualty license.
- Variable life applicants must have passed the NASD series 6 or 7 and be registered to an Oregon securities dealer.

- Producer license fee is $75. Make check payable to Department of Consumer and Business Services.
- Surplus lines business entities must also be licensed for property and casualty.
- Businesses located in Oregon must register their business name with the Secretary of State Corporation Division.
- Business entities are required to have a licensed and affiliated agent. Submit Form #2139, Firm or Corporation Affiliation of Agent, within 30 days of the effective date of hire.
