NAIC President Highlights Resources to Help Gen Z Mind the Insurance Gap
Today, Andrew N. Mais, President of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and Commissioner of the Connecticut Insurance Department, is hosting a satellite media tour at UCONN-Stamford to share why Americans, especially young adults, need to prioritize insurance as part of their financial planning.
President Mais will unveil results of a new NAIC-commissioned survey on Gen Z adults and their awareness about insurance. As it turns out, over half of respondents ages 18 to 27 said they feel “overwhelmed or anxious” at “the thought of dealing with insurance.”
“The good news is that there are independent resources to help consumers get answers to insurance questions and ensure there are no gaps in their coverage,” Mais said.
