NAIC Summer National Meeting to Highlight Innovation and Resilience

On August 11–14, 2026, state insurance regulators will gather in Columbus, Ohio, with their counterparts from across the world, industry leaders, and interested parties for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ (NAIC) 2026 Summer National Meeting, where they will continue addressing the challenges and pressures facing consumers and insurance markets.

Regulators’ agenda includes topics such as:

  • Insurers’ evolving investment strategies
  • AI and emerging technology
  • Mitigation and resilience
  • Affordability and accessibility  

Virginia Insurance Commissioner and NAIC President Scott A. White’s keynote address on Aug. 12 will highlight state insurance regulators’ innovative and data-driven oversight.

“This year has reminded us just how real and varied the risks facing consumers and insurance markets can be,” said Commissioner White. “Our Summer National Meeting is the latest chapter in our state-based system’s story of protecting consumers and markets through adaptability, modernization, and resilience.”

“Ohio is proud to welcome our colleagues from across the country to a state with such a deep legacy of innovation,” said Ohio Department of Insurance Director Judith L. French. “Columbus is the perfect backdrop as regulators work together on today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities.”
