Non-Resident Licensing Checklist for Business Entities

Organizational Requirements

Delaware only accepts electronic applications through NIPR. Delaware does not issue Lines of Authority or Appointments to Business Entities.

  • The business entity has designated a licensed producer responsible for the business entity's compliance with the insurance laws, rules and regulations of this state. The DRLP must be currently licensed in Delaware prior to submitting the business entity application.
  • Applicants are required to submit a letter of explanation and supporting documentation for those questions that are answered "yes" on the Uniform Application. Supporting documentation should be submitted electronically through the NIPR Electronic Attachments Warehouse.
  • A Letter of Certification from the home state is not required.

Fee Information for Business Entities

  • A fee of $75 is due for new applicants.
  • Miscellaneous Fee
    • Duplicate License Fee: $10.00
    • Amendment Fee: $10.00

Organizational Requirements

  • A Letter of Certification from the home state is not required.

  • Non-Citizens must provide Proof of Work Authorization
