Non-Resident Licensing Checklist for Business Entities
Other Requirements
- The biennial license fee for a Business Entity Producer is $100.00.
The LOA's assigned to the Business Entity can be no greater than the LOA of the Designated/ Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) listed on the application. - In reference to question 25 on the application the District of Columbia Department of Insurance and Securities Regulation (DISR) does not require that the Designated/Responsible Licensed Producer be an Officer, or Partner of the Business Entity. The individual must hold a current District of Columbia Producer License prior to submitting an application for the Business Entity (BE).
- Must comply with the requirements of DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA), Corporation Division, www.dcra.dc.gov, filing as a foreign corporation or other legal entity operating in the District of Columbia.
- LOA Qualification PDB Verified.
Non-Resident Licensing Checklist for Individuals
Other Requirements
- The biennial license fee for an Individual Licensee is $100.00. License fees are the following:
- One hundred dollars ($100.00) for one or more of the following lines of insurance:
- Life b) Accident and Health or Sickness
- Accident and Health or Sickness
- Variable Life and Variable Annuity products, or
- limited lines of Credit, Surety, Crop, Car Rental and Travel
- One hundred dollars ($100.00) for one or more of the following lines of insurances;
- Property
- Limited lines of Credit, Surety, Crop, Car Rental and Travel
- One hundred dollars ($100.00) for one or more of the following lines of insurance:
- LOA Qualifications PDB Verified.
- Resident Producers – Attach Examination Score.
- Surplus Lines Authority – Maintain Proof of $20,000.00 Surety Bond.
- Sign Application.
