How to Reserve a Room
Once conference registration has been completed, you will receive your confirmation via email, which will contain a link to register at the hotel listed above. Note that room reservations can only be made online using this special NAIC reservations page. Call-in reservations will not be accepted.
Reserved room blocks expire July 13, 2026. However, rooms may sell out prior to this deadline.
Arrival/departure date changes should be made directly with the hotel, which will be subject to a rate increase and availability after the initial reservation.
All rooms are subject to 17.5% tax rate (which includes 10% Occupancy Tax). Five percent of your hotel room rate is being rebated to the NAIC to defray meeting expenses. Rooms cancelled within 48 hours (local time) of scheduled arrival will be charged one night's room and tax.

TOPIC: LLM Applications in Claims Analysis Link to Topic Paper: New CAS Research Explores LLM Applications in Claims Analysis | Casualty Actuarial SocietyPRESENTER: Rob Lieberthal, PhD, is the Founder and Senior Principal of Lieberthal & Associates LLC, where his work spans health economics, actuarial science, and applied machine learning. He previously developed a machine learning method for fraud detection in healthcare claims that matched physician-expert accuracy and currently serves as Senior Advisor on Behavioral Economics to the CMS Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI). He is the co-lead author of "Leveraging LLMs for Unstructured Claims Data Analysis,” along with Dr. Richard Tran of MDSight. This was a Casualty Actuarial Society-funded study demonstrating how large language models can extract structured actuarial variables from medical records and claims documents to improve reserving accuracy. He is also the author of "What Is Health Insurance (Good) For?” a book published by Springer that examines the structure, funding, and future of the U.S. health insurance system.
