Mission
The mission of the Surplus Lines (C) Task Force is to monitor the surplus lines market and regulation, including the activity and financial condition of U.S. and alien surplus lines insurers by providing a forum for discussion of issues and to develop or amend relevant NAIC model laws, regulations and/or guidelines.
2023 Adopted Charges
The Surplus Lines (C) Task Force will:
- Provide a forum for discussion of current and emerging surplus lines-related issues and topics of public policy, and determine appropriate regulatory response and action.
- Review and analyze quantitative and qualitative data on U.S. domestic and alien surplus lines industry results and trends.
- Monitor federal legislation related to the surplus lines market, and ensure all interested parties remain apprised.
- Develop or amend relevant NAIC model laws, regulations, and/or guidelines.
- Oversee the activities of the Surplus Lines (C) Working Group.
